Timberwolves Introduce Rubio Today; Caravan In St. Cloud

The Minnesota Timberwolves will introduce point guard Ricky Rubio at a press conference at 10am today at Target Center. Hear is live on AM 1390-the Fan. Rubio arrived at Minneapolis-St. Paul International Airport Monday night and was greeted by Wolves' fans and he signed a few autographs.

Timberwolves Sign Rubio To Multi-Year Contract

Ricky Rubio spoke in Spain today and said "I have finally decided to start the journey" to the NBA. Rubio reportedly agreed to a contract with the Timberwolves a few weeks ago. He was the 5th overall pick by the Timberwolves in the 2009 NBA draft.

Rubio Agrees To Join Timberwolves

Multiple reports indicate that the Timberwolves have reached an agreement with point guard Ricky Rubio to join the team for the 2011-2012 season. The agreement took place prior to the May 31 deadline which allows Rubio to sign a rookie contract. Rubio was taken 5th overall in the 2009 NBA draft.

Timberwolves’ Kahn Trying To Lure Rubio Here

Minnesota Timberwolves Vice President David Kahn is going back to Spain to try and lure point guard Ricky Rubio to the NBA. Kahn and assistant General Manager Tony Ronzone are looking for a commitment that they weren't able to get 2 years ago from Rubio.
