You don't know what you can do until you try and one 15-year-old girl is learning that exact lesson. Sauk Rapids native Madelyn Adamski has be working hard this summer raising funds for the Sauk Rapids Fire Department to buy a new rescue boat.

Family helping family is a motto the Adamski family has taken to heart. 15-year-old Madelyn Adamski has spent her whole life around the Sauk Rapids Fire Department and this summer wanted to help her second family.

The St. Cloud Fire Department will look for permission tonight to replace a rescue boat lost during a Sauk River rescue this summer. The fire department was responding to a call on the river July 20th. High water and strong current swamped and sank the boat.
