Real Men Wear Pink

Cancer used to be thought of as a death sentence, but over the last 20 years survival rates have increased by 25 percent. The American Cancer Society will be celebrating survivorship at this year’s Making Strides Against Breast Cancer walk.

Today on WJON I talked with Kim Orn (American Cancer Society), Lance Bartell (Batteries Plus Bulbs), Tanner Neubauer (Integration Fitness), and Jim Beck (Modern Barnyard).

A group of 18 local leaders and influential men are spending October wearing pink this year, to raise awareness and money for breast cancer.

Kim Orn from the American Cancer Society and St. Cloud State men's hockey coach Bob Motzko joined me on WJON today. We talked about the "Real Men Wear Pink" campaign and their event scheduled for Wednesday October 11 at Brothers Bar and Grill in downtown St. Cloud.

The American Cancer Society and I are partnering to raise awareness for breast cancer and breast cancer research. I am participating in the Real Men Wear Pink campaign and am looking for your help in raising the $2,500 I'm hoping to raise.
