Minnesota officials say standard driver's licenses should be accepted for domestic flights until October 2020 as stronger Real ID requirements roll out.
Gov. Mark Dayton is pressing lawmakers to grant driver's
licenses to immigrants living in Minnesota illegally as part of the effort to
comply with stronger federal ID requirements.
The Minnesota House has passed a Real ID bill by a vote
of 72-58 after years of concern about government overreach and data privacy
surrounding the federal law.
