Former Husky wrestler Dave Hazewinkel's son Sam Hazewinkel is a member of the 2012 USA Olympic wrestling team. Dave competed for the USA at the 1968 and 1972 Olympics after an outstanding career at St. Cloud State University. They are the first father-son duo to wrestle for team USA in the Olympics.

Stearns County is fortunate enough to have two women competing this year -- Alise Post of St. Cloud is in the BMX bike competition and Amanda Smock of Melrose will be in Track and Field's Triple Jump. You might be surprised to learn that this area has had quite a few Olympians over the years.
