A major winter storm is expected to blanket a large swath of the middle of the country with snow and disrupt travel as more than a foot of snow falls in some areas.
The National Weather Service says the towns with the most snow from Saturday are St. James with five inches, Mankato at 4 1/2 inches and Minneota at 4.2 inches.
The National Weather Service has expanded the Winter Weather Advisory for Saturday to now include Stearns and Benton Counties. It will be in effect from noon on Saturday until 3:00 a.m. Sunday.
