Hot Day, Then Storms Possible
Hot and humid conditions will continue today with heat indices rising into the 90s south of I-94. A cold front will advance into Minnesota late tonight, spreading showers and thunderstorms eastward from the Dakotas. A few may be severe toward morning.
Thunderstorms Are Likely Monday Night
Storms developing this afternoon across North Dakota will continue east into northern MN, before starting to angle southeast toward Ladysmith and Eau Claire late tonight, with this activity remaining largely north of I-94.
More Heat, Then Possible Storms
It will be another hot and humid day across much of the area today. An Excessive Heat Warning remains in effect through this evening across southern MN and adjoining areas of WI where afternoon heat indices will peak in the 100 to 105 degree range.
Strong Storms Possible Today
Severe weather and heavy rains are possible today and tonight. A dry day is expected for Wednesday but the stormy weather pattern is expected to return Wednesday night and linger through Thursday night.
