St. Cloud Tech graduate Nate Wolters scored 22 points in South Dakota State's 78-71 home win in Brookings over Tennessee State. Jordan Dykstra made 4 3-point shots to help the Jackrabbits. The Gopher men's basketball team defeated South Dakota State 71-55 Monday night to improve to 2-0. Minnesota trailed by 3 early in the 2nd half before overpowering the Jackrabbits. Trevor Mbakwe led the Gophers with 17 points and 10 rebounds, Ralph Sampson III had 10 points and Chip Armelin added 9 points for Minnesota.
