MnDOT officials encourage you to plan ahead before heading out on the road for the fishing opener. You can make sure the only thing you catch this weekend are fish, not traffic jams, by using the state's 511 information line.

A major corridor through St. Cloud will cause some traffic delays starting Monday. The Minnesota Department of transportation will be re-paving Highway 23 from Cooper Avenue to one block west of Highway 15.

Work on the Highway 23 project between St. Cloud and Foley will prompt a change in the way motorists access Benton County Road 4. Weather permitting, that access will change either tomorrow or Friday.

Our heavy rain this past weekend has caused a detour on Highway 23 in east St. Cloud to be extended. Traffic is being detoured via Wilson Avenue, East St. Germain Street, and Lincoln Avenue.

Expect some minor traffic delays, some weekday lane closures, traffic shifts and reduced speeds on some central Minnesota highways starting this week. The Minnesota Department of Transportation has announced a list of projects which will be re-surfaced in the next several weeks.

More people are using bicycles on a daily basis than ever before. With this in mind, May has been designated as Bike Month.

The Minnesota Department of Transportation will close a short stretch of Highway 23 in east St. Cloud tomorrow. The replacement of the pedestrian bridge over Highway 23 will close the road between Lincoln Avenue and Wilson Avenue tomorrow through Tuesday morning.

You could encounter some delays at rural highway intersections. Starting Monday MnDOT is installing overhead lighting at 16 intersections in nine Central Minnesota counties.

MnDOT crews will be tearing down the pedestrian bridge over Highway 23 in east St. Cloud Monday night. The work will begin at 7:00 p.m., and is expected to be completed by the Tuesday morning rush hour.

Unseasonably warm weather has helped work crews make good progress on the Highway 10 construction project between Clear Lake and Big Lake.
