UPDATE: Minnesota State Patrol Responds to Hundreds of Crashes
The Minnesota State Patrol says, as of 4:30 p.m. on Sunday, they've responded to 239 crashes statewide. Thirty-two of them involved injuries, but none were serious or deadly. They also assisted with 398 incidents where vehicles spun out or left the road. And they also had two semis jacknife.
Icy Roads Make Travel Difficult in Southern Minnesota
The Minnesota Department of Transportation says icy conditions are making travel difficult in southern Minnesota. MNDOT spokeswoman Rebecca Arndt said Sunday morning that a mix of rain and freezing rain is falling on top of already-icy roads near Mankato and all along Interstate 90.
MnDOT Prepares for 2nd Round of Wintry Weather
The Minnesota Department of Transportation is gearing up for another round of wintry weather in the Twin Cities this weekend. The National Weather Service is forecasting freezing rain and snow for the metro area that will change to snow between Friday night and late Saturday.
