NHL Lockout Leaves Fans, Businesses Frustrated
Wild Lockout Offer To Season Ticket Holders
The Minnesota Wild have offered 10% interest on the dollar value of the tickets to season ticket holders if they credit those games lost due to the lockout. The credit can be applied toward future games or subsequent season renewels. Credit will be issued when a new collective bargaining agreement is reached between the players and owners.
Wild Introduce Parise, Suter at Press Conference
The Minnesota Wild officially welcomed free agent signees Zach Parise and Ryan Suter at a press conference at the Xcel Energy Center in St. Paul Monday. Parise and Suter both signed 13-year $98 Million contracts. Parise said at the press conference that both he and Suter wanted to be here and that it all came together as they talked about the possibility Monday and Tuesday of last week. Both agreed to contracts on Wednesday July 4.

Wild Sign Parise, Suter To 13-Year Contracts
The Minnesota Wild signed the top two available NHL free agents left wing Zach Parise and defenseman Ryan Suter to 13-year $98 Million contracts on Wednesday. Parise and Suter are both 27-years old and have Minnesota ties. Parise grew up in Minnesota, played high school hockey at Shattuck St. Mary's in Faribault, college hockey at North Dakota and is the son of former Minnesota North Star J.P. Parise. Suter's wife is from Bloomington, Minnesota.
Parise, Suter Decision Could Come Today
The Minnesota Wild could find out today according to sources whether they will land top free agents Zach Parise and Ryan Suter. Parise arrived in Minnesota yesterday to talk over his decision with his family but indicated to the Star Tribune that him being here didn't necessarily indicate that he would sign with the Wild. The Wild visited Suter in Madison, Wisconsin Tuesday but so did Detroit.

Wild Sign Konopka and Mitchell; Continue Pursuit of Parise, Suter
The Minnesota continue to pursue free agent left wing Zach Parise and defenseman Ryan Suter but announced the signing of free agent center Zenon Konopka from Ottawa and center/right wing Torry Mitchell from San Jose. Konopka signs a 2-year deal worth $925,000 per season and Mitchell signs a 3-year contract worth $1.9 Million a season.
