The Minnesota Wild won 1-0 at home against Boston last night. Mikael Granlund scored the lone goal with 45 seconds left when the puck bounced off the shin guard of a Boston defenseman and went into the net.
The Minnesota Wild lost 1-0 at Colorado this afternoon. Gabriel Landeskog scored the lone goal of the game at 10:23 mark of the 3rd period to break the tie for the Av's. Devan Dubnyk had 31 saves in net for the Wild. Shots were even at 32 and Minnesota was 0-3 on the power play.
Not much has changed with the Minnesota Wild roster as they get set to start their season. The biggest difference is the man now in charge on the bench, Bruce Boudreau, who's been tasked with squeezing more success out of a team that's been stuck in the early rounds of the playoffs for the last four years.
Bruce Boudreau's teams have been remarkably consistent and successful over nearly a decade on the bench in the NHL. They've also had a history of early exits from the playoffs, which is why the 61-year-old coach became available to the Minnesota Wild.
On the brink of elimination the Minnesota Wild find a way to get the job done and stay alive in the playoffs. The team now trails 3-2 in the series after picking up the 5-4 overtime victory against the Dallas Stars last (Friday) night.
