The Twins lost 9-2 to the Chicago White Sox Sunday. The Twins were swept in the 3-game series and have lost 5 of their last 6. Scott Diamond allowed 7 hits and 6 earned runs in 5 1/3 innings to take the loss and drop to 11-8. Jake Peavy earned the win and Adam Dunn hit a homerun for the White Sox. Joe Mauer was 2-4 with a solo homerun and Alexi Casilla was 2-4 with 1 RBI for the Twins. Mauer now has 10 homeruns.

The White Sox beat the Twins 6-0 Friday night behind the pitching of Chris Sale. Sale threw 6 shutout innings to get the win. Alex Rios went 2-3 with a run scored and 1 RBI and Kevin Youkilis hit a solo homerun for the White Sox. The Twins managed just 4 hits with Justin Morneau getting 2 of them. The Twins won 4-3 in 10 innings Thursday night to salvage the final game of the 3-game series against Kansas City. Denard Span had the walk-off RBI double for the Twins to win it. Trevor Plouffe forced extra innings with a solo homerun in the 9th inning. Plouffe was 2-4. Josh Willingham hit a solo homerun, his 34th and drove in 2 runs on the night.

The Twins lost 10-5 at home to the Kansas City Royals Wednesday night. Ryan Doumit committed 3 errors in the 8th inning which helped lead to a 4-run inning for the Royals. Kansas City scored 5 runs in the 5th inning. P.J. Walters allowed 7 hits and 6 earned runs in 4 innings to take the loss and drop to 2-4. Luke Hochevar threw 5 innings with 6 hits and 5 earned runs allowed to get the win.

The Twins retired former Manager Tom Kelly's #10 in a pregame ceremony before a 3-0 win over the Cleveland Indians. Kelly managed the Twins to two World Series titles in 1987 and 1991.
