17 Wolves Taken So Far in Late Minnesota Wolf Season
Minnesota hunters killed at least 17 wolves during the opening weekend of the late wolf season, where trappers had their first chance at the animals. According to the Department of Natural Resources, seven wolves were taken in the Northeast Zone as of Sunday evening and 10 in the Northwest Zone.

Eurasian Watermilfoil has been found in a Morrison County lake. The Department of Natural Resources says it was discovered growing in several locations in the northwest area in Lake Shamineau, as well as to the east of the public boat access.
Rain in May Creates Washed Out Minnesota Trails
The Minnesota Department of Natural Resources is warning hikers and mountain bikers that heavy rain during the month of May has washed out some trails. Boaters are also being warned that the state's second-wettest May on record has created rising water levels at boat landings.
