Ojibwe Band Building $10 Million Resort On Mille Lacs Lake [AUDIO]

The Mille Lacs Band Of Ojibwe has announced plans for a major redevelopment project on Lake Mille Lacs. Spokesman Joe Nayquonabe says they plan to raise the entire Eddy's Resort property, and build a new first-class resort.

2nd Man Sentenced For Tribal Embezzlement

A Brainerd man has been sentenced for embezzling more than $600,000 from the Mille Lacs Band of Ojibwe. A federal judge sentenced 31-year-old Eric Makowski to 2-and-a-half years in prison on one count of embezzlement from a tribal organization.

Vikings Hosting Annual Snowmobile Run This Weekend

Snowmobile enthusiasts can ride with the Minnesota Vikings this weekend. The 16th annual Arctic Blast Snowmobile Rally is tomorrow (Saturday) and Sunday at Mille Lacs Lake. It's co-sponsored by the Mille Lacs Band of Ojibwe and the Vikings.
