Wild Send Granlund to Houston

The Minnesota Wild have sent prospect Mikael Granlund to Wild minor league affiliate, the Houston Aeros of the AHL. Granlund had 1 goal and 5 assists while playing in 19 games for the Wild this season.

Wild Sign Top Prospect, Granlund

The Minnesota Wild have signed top prospect Mikael Granlund to a 3-year $2.7 Million contract. The contract includes $90,000 in bonus money annually. He is ranked as the #2 overall prospect in the Hockey News Future Watch. Granlund scored 40 points in 43 games as a 17-year old in the Finnish Elite League. As a 19-year old last season he led the HIFK in regular season scoring.
