Benton County authorities have jailed three men after a traffic stop led to a large drug bust last Friday. Sheriff's officials say a deputy made a traffic stop in the 400 block of Summit Avenue South and detected the smell of marijuana.

Police have arrested a St. Cloud man after a woman called to say the man violated a Harassment Restraining Order. Police interviewed the victim and were able to find the suspect, 30-year-old Darius Fields. He was arrested and taken to the Stearns County Jail.

The Central Minnesota Drug and Gang Task Force and the Stearns/Benton SERT Team used a search warrant at 43rd Street Southeast in Melrose. The three people arrested were 45-year-old Ross Rittgers and 45-year-old Janell Rittgers of Melrose, and 31-year-old Leslie Umpleby of St. Paul.

Authorities arrested two people from Waite Park after a search warrant uncovered drugs, cash and a stolen gun. Investigators from the Central Minnesota Drug and Gang Task Force searched a home at 1103 2nd Street north in Waite Park Friday and arrested the man and woman.
