The St. Cloud City Council has denied a request for liquor license for a new bar in downtown. A group of four people had planned to open "The Pickled Loon" at 715 West St. Germain Street, in the former McRudy's Pub building.
There seems to be a plan already in the works for the McRudy's Pub building in downtown St. Cloud. There are signs up in the window today (Friday) that says "New Bar Coming Soon".
Two downtown St. Cloud bars will remain closed, after the St. Cloud city council denied their request to renew their liquor license. The council voted unanimously against the application for McRudy's Pub and and RumRunner's Spirits and Brew Club.
The St. Cloud city council will decide tonight (Monday) whether to approve or deny a liquor license to two longtime downtown bars. A special public hearing is scheduled during tonight's regular council meeting to review the application for a liquor license for McRudy's Pub, and Rum Runner's Spirits and Brew Club.
McRudy's Irish Pub has locked its doors. Later this month The St. Cloud City Council will make a decision to vote on a St Cloud City Administration's recommendation not to renew the bars 2013/14 Liquor License.
