The St. Cloud Area School District has once again approved a tax abatement request for Marco Incorporated. The school board originally gave their approval last month, but decided to revisit the request and held a public hearing last (Monday) night.

Tonight (Monday) it's the St. Cloud city council's turn to take-up the issue of a tax abatement for Marco Incorporated. Council members will consider the nearly $1 million tax break during a public hearing.

Marco Incorporated's plan to build a new facility ran into a road block today (Tuesday) from Stearns County. The Board of Commissioners voted unanimously to deny a tax abatement request of nearly $1 million.
