St. Cloud Metro Area Unemployment Drops in September

The unemployment rate in the St. Cloud metro area dropped last month. This is the lowest rate we've had for the month of September since before the recession, when it was 4.3% in September 2007.

Local Unemployment Rate Goes Up in December

The number of unemployed workers went up in the St. Cloud metro area last month. The Minnesota Department of Employment and Economic Development says our unemployment rate jumped up to 5.8% from the 5.1% we had in November and December.

Local Unemployment Rate Increases .3%

After three months of declining unemployment figures, the unemployment rate in the St. Cloud metro area went up again in November. The Department of Employment and Economic Development says it's now at 6.3% -- up from 6% in October.
