Niklas Backstrom had 28 saves for Minnesota. Patrick Kane scored the game-winning goal in the shootout for Chicago.

The Minnesota Wild saw their 5-game win streak get snapped Thursday night when San Jose beat Minnesota 3-1. Kyle Brodziak scored the lone Wild goal. San Jose scored 3 goals in the 2nd period. Niklas Backstrom had 33 saves for the Wild. San Jose outshot the Wild 36-22.

Kyle Brodziak, Devin Setoguchi, and Nick Johnson each scored a goal for the Wild and Niklas Backstrom had 41 saves for the Wild.

The Minnesota Wild lost 3-1 at home to the Ottawa Senators Thursday night. Kyle Brodziak scored the lone Wild goal but was the extra man on the ice when the Wild had a goal disallowed for too many players on the ice.
