The company that owns the Sears and Kmart stores is closing three more stores in Minnesota. But, the Sears store in the Crossroads Mall in St. Cloud is not on that list.
Two more tenants have been confirmed to join Dick's Sporting Goods and Fresh Thyme Farmers Market on the former Kmart property. Waite Park Planning and Community Development Director Jon Noerenberg says plans and agreements have been filed for the addition of two retail stores-- Five Below and Mattress Firm.
The rumors about what will go into the former Kmart building in Waite Park have been circulating for months and today (Wednesday) have finally been confirmed. Dick's Sporting Goods and Fresh Thyme Farmers Market will be two of three tenants occupying the site.
The first step for renovating the former Kmart building has begun. During tonight’s (Tuesday) Waite Park Planning Commission meeting the board approved the height variance for the stores façade, which will now be brought to the city council.
