Timberwolves forward Kevin Love has been named as a Western Conference All Star reserve. This marks the 2nd straight year Love has been named an All Star. Love is averaging 25 points and 13.7 rebounds a game this season. Love also says he'll participate in the 3-point shooting challenge at the All Star game too. The NBA All Star festivities will take place in Orlando February 24-26.

The Timberwolves beat Sacramento 86-84 Tuesday night at Target Center without their top scorer and rebounder, Kevin Love who is serving a 2-game suspension for stomping on the face of Houston forward Luis Scola. Derrick Williams started in place of Love and scored 14 points and added 8 rebounds. Nikola Pekovic led the team with 23 points and 10 rebounds and Ricky Rubio added 14 assists.

NBA Suspends Love For Face Stomp

Timberwolves forward Kevin Love has been suspended for 2 games after he stomped on the face and chest of Houston forward Luis Scola. Scola was knocked to the floor in the 3rd quarter in Saturday's game against Minnesota and Love turned up court only to stomp on Scola's face and chest. Love apologized to Scola after the game and issued a statement through the Wolves Monday apologizing to management, coaches, players and fans.
