Former Twin Josh Willingham spoiled Ricky Nolasco's return, leading the first-place Royals to a 6-5 victory Friday night.

Joe Mauer homered and had three hits, helping the Minnesota Twins snap a 10-game losing streak with a 3-2 victory over the Detroit Tigers on Saturday.

The Twins defeated Cleveland 6-4 Wednesday night and pitcher Liam Hendriks earned his first major league win after numerous trys. Hendriks threw 6 innings with 2 hits and 2 earned runs allowed. He improves to 1-7 this season. Glen Perkins threw a scoreless 9th inning to grab his 13th save this year. Josh Willingham was 4-5 with a 2-run homerun with 4 RBIs. He has 35 homeruns and 110 RBIs this season.

The Twins lost 9-1 at home against Kansas City Tuesday night. The loss ends a 3-game win streak for Minnesota. Scott Diamond allowed 10 hits and 4 earned runs in 6 innings to take the loss and drop to 11-7. Ben Revere went 3-5 and both Darin Mastroanni and Justin Morneau each had 2 hits.

The Twins lost 5-4 at home against Seattle Thursday in the final game of a 4-game series. Josh Willingham's dropped ball in the 6th inning led to 4 Seattle runs and may have cost the Twins the game. Willingham did hit a 2-run homerun later in the game. Alexi Casilla was 2-3 with 2 runs scored and 1 RBI and Brian Duensing threw 5 1/3 innings with 4 hits and 3 earned runs allowed to take the loss and drop to 3-10.

The Twins blanked the Seattle Mariners 10-0 at Target Field Wednesday night. Sam Deduno threw 7 shutout innings with just 2 hits allowed to get the win and improve to 5-2. Deduno struckout a career high 9 and allowed no walks. Trevor Plouffe was 2-4 with a 2-run homerun and 4 RBIs, Josh Willingham was 2-3 with a solo homerun and 2 RBIs and Joe Mauer was 3-5 with a triple and 2 RBIs. Plouffe's homerun was his 20th this year while Willingham hit his 32nd.

The Twins ended their 5-game losing streak with a 7-2 win at Oakland Monday night. Oakland's 4-game win streak is snapped. Brian Duensing threw 6 innings with 5 hits and 2 runs (1 earned) to earn the win and improve to 3-8. Joe Mauer and Josh Willingham were each 3-5 with 2 RBIs, Darin Mastroianni went 2-3 with 2 runs scored and 2 RBIs and Pedro Florimon went 3-3 with 3 runs scored for the Twins.

The Twins lost 5-3 at Seattle against the Mariners Friday night. Hasashi Iwakuma threw 7 innings with 4 hits and 1 earned run allowed to get the win for the Mariners. Nick Blackburn allowed 11 hits and 5 earned runs in 5 1/3 innings to take the loss for the Twins. Joe Mauer went 2-4 with a solo homerun and Josh Willingham hit a solo homerun, his 31st. Matt Carson in his Twins' debut was 1-4 with 1 RBI and Pedro Florimon in his Twins' debut was 0-3.

The Twins lost 8-4 to the Tigers Tuesday night. Brian Duensing threw 6 innings with 8 hits and 5 earned runs allowed to take the loss and drop to 2-8. Josh Willingham hit a 3-run homerun for the Twins. Willingham now has 30 homeruns setting a new single-season career high. Ben Revere was 2-5 with a run scored for Minneosta.

The Twins lost 6-4 in Boston to the Red Sox Sunday afternoon. Minnesota was going for the sweep in the 4-game series and settles for winning 3 of 4. Nick Blackburn allowed 9 hits and 4 earned runs in 5 innings to take the loss for Minnesota. Franklin Morales allowed 3 hits and 1 earned run in 6 innings to get the win for Boston. Ryan Doumit hit a 2-run homerun and Josh Willingham hit a solo homerun for the Twins. Ben Revere was 1-3 with 1 RBI to extend his hitting streak to 19 games.
