Maturi is now 67 years old and said he found the job and the 12-14 hour days to be too physically demanding at his age. Maturi did not have any NCAA violations during his time with the Gophers and was the man who hired football coaches Tim Brewster and Jerry Kill and men's basketball coach Tubby Smith.
