WJON's "2-Cent Tuesday" program produced many different responses today. The topics discussed included the viability of immigrants and our homeless population living together in St. Cloud, Social Security taxes, and invasive species in area lakes.
While the number of people suffering from homelessness is dropping statewide, they're increasing in Central Minnesota. The Wilder Foundation released numbers on Monday, showing the number of homeless people in Minnesota has dropped since 2012.
About 100 corporate and community leaders plan to camp out this weekend to raise funds for young people who are homeless. The fundraising goal for the Night of Hope event on Sunday is $250,000 directed to YouthLink programs and services.
