The holiday's are upon us and there are plenty of yultide events around Central Minnesota in this weekend. You can meet Santa at KringleFest, enjoy the annual tree lighting celebration in St. Joseph, listen to some holiday music at the Mosaic of Joy and the George Maurer Holiday Trio and enjoy a Christmas classic come to life on the stage with GREAT Theatre. I talked with Steve Palmer, Angela Likings-Horvath, Adam Hammer and Noah Rosenberger. We talked about their fundraising campaign and about their upcoming Christmas Story musical performance.

The final act of GREAT Theatre's Capital Campaign has started with an exciting plot twist. Mike and Karel Helgeson and Steve and Deb Palmer have challenged Central Minnesota to raise $250,000 by December 31st, which they will match dollar-for-dollar.

It's another weekend full of fun for the whole family around Central Minnesota. Take the kids trick-or-treating at Pumpkinfest 2016, enjoy GREAT Theatre's Charlie and the Chocolate Factory, listen to the vocals of Tonic Sol Fa, get scared at Molitor's Haunted Acres and see SCSU's performance of "The Norwegians." The fun continues this weekend across Central Minnesota with the Krazy Kids Inflatable Fun Run in Kimbal, The Heritage Blues Orchestra Quintet performing at the College of St. Benedict, The Veranda Lounge 11th Anniversary Bash, Albany Pioneer Days and Marty Haggard singing at Rollie's. There is no shortage of stuff to do in Central Minnesota this weekend and since we can't fit them all in here are a few highlights. We got Great Theatre opening their season with Sister Act, Jo Dee Messina playing in Albany, running along the Mississippi River with the Mississippi River Run in Sauk Rapids, Catholic Charities Annual Lake Wobegon Trail Ride and an outdoor performance by Blackhawk at Rollies!
