There were no reported traffic deaths on what was expected to be the deadliest day of the year on Minnesota roads. The Department of Public Safety reported Thursday that statewide numbers were still being compiled, but preliminary reports indicate no one died on the Fourth of July holiday.
The Fourth of July always has been one of my favorite holidays. I'm not sure why but its probably because my small hometown of Maynard, Minnesota is one of the many American communities that celebrates the Fourth with a festival.
