Mississippi River Expected to Flood Thursday

Because of heavy rain this weekend near the headwaters, the Mississippi River in St. Cloud is under a flood watch.

On Monday night the river was at eight-feet.

It's expected to reach flood stage of nine-feet by Thursday morning, which will cause some minor flooding in low-lying areas

The National Weather Service has issued a Flood Watch for the Mississippi River in St. Cloud. The watch will go into effect on Thursday, and remain in effect until further notice.

Flood Watch Issued For Central Minnesota

The National Weather Service has issued a Flood Watch for much of central Minnesota -- including Stearns, Sherburne and Benton Counties. It will be in effect from late tonight (Wednesday) through Thursday afternoon.

A flood watch remains in effect through tomorrow (Wednesday) morning. Counties in the watch include: Kandiyohi, Meeker, Stearns, Todd, and Douglas.

Flood Watch Posted For Central Minnesota Counties

The National Weather Service has issued a flood watch for parts of our listening area. Rainfall totals of three to four inches will be possible. Watch for widespread flooding in streams, creeks, and rivers.
