Crews fought a building fire in downtown Melrose yesterday (Thursday). The Melrose Police Department says crews were called to a building at the corner of Main Street and 4th Avenue shortly after 12:30 p.m..
The St. Cloud Public Library could remain closed until early October. Spokeswoman Julie Henne says staff continue to work to ensure the building and its contents are back to 'pre-fire' condition before opening to the public.
Firefighters were on the scene of a house fire north of St. Joseph at about 9:45 a.m. today (Thursday). Stearns County Chief Deputy Sheriff Bruce Bechtold says they received a call that a dump truck had hit a power pole and the power lines were down.
Authorities say a fire at a Waite Park apartment complex yesterday (Monday) was intentionally set. The State Fire Marshall's Office and Waite Park Police are asking for help in finding whoever started the blaze at the Sundial IV apartment complex.
