Felix Hernandez out-dueled Liam Hendriks to get the win. Hernandez allowed just 5 hits in 9 innings with 5 strikeouts and 1 walk. Hendriks made his best start as a Twin. He allowed 3 hits and 1 earned run with 6 strikeouts and 3 walks to take the loss and drop to 0-7. Eric Thames hit a solo homerun off Hendriks in the 8th inning to break the scoreless tie. Justin Morneau tripled to lead off the 7th inning but the Twins couldn't get him in.

He's 2-1. Denard Span had the only hit for the Twins.
