Authorities in central Minnesota say a 73-year-old man who was found unconscious near his tractor has died. Douglas County deputies responded to an emergency call Tuesday evening to an address near Osakis.

A man has been sentenced to five years in prison for a one-punch assault outside a St. Michael bar that led to another man's death. Wright County District Judge Kathleen Mottl on Friday issued the maximum sentence to 24-year-old Alexander Tuomisto that she could under the terms of Tuomisto's plea bargain.

Waite Park Police have released the name of the person killed while walking across the street last (Friday) night. They say 83-year-old Andrew Virden of Waite Park was struck and killed at about 8:00 p.m. at the intersection of 2nd Avenue North and 1st Street North.

A 50-year-old snowmobiler has died in a crash in Isanti County in central Minnesota. The Isanti County sheriff's department says the man was killed when his machine hit a tree west of the town of Isanti shortly before 10 p.m. Saturday.
