With the Labor Day holiday fast approaching, area Sheriff's Departments are stepping up their DWI enforcement. Extra patrols will be out August 21st through September 7th. The extra DWI enforcement is part of a statewide effort with over 300 law enforcement agencies in the state.
It's going to take more than the "Luck of the Irish" if you are caught drinking and driving this weekend. Extra law enforcement will be on DWI patrol starting today (Friday) for St. Patrick's Day weekend.
Law enforcement agencies throughout Minnesota are stepping up drunken driving enforcement as part of the "Drive Sober or Get Pulled Over" campaign. The Minnesota Department of Public Safety says the stepped up enforcement starts Friday and continues through September 5th.
Extra patrols will be out this weekend in Stearns County, watching for drunk drivers. Stearns is one of 13 counties in the state where the DWI enforcement will be happening.
