Lake Koronis Gets Legislative help to Fight Starry Stonewart
Last summer, the aquatic invasive species Starry Stonewart was found in Paynesville's Lake Koronis. It's the first known infestation of Starry Stonewart in Minnesota. The Legislature took notice and passed a bill this session allocating $200,000 to help fight the weedy invader.
Another Meeting to Address Little Rock Creek Groundwater
Central Minnesota residents interested in the Little Rock Creek watershed are invited to another meeting tomorrow (Wednesday). More than 100 residents turned out for a January meeting to discuss sustainable groundwater use in the Little Rock Creek area of Benton and Morrison counties.
