The Denver Broncos signed former Viking quarterback Christian Ponder to backup Brock Osweiler and Trevor Siemien with Peyton Manning nursing a foot injury. Ponder signed with the Oakland Raiders in the off-season but didn't make the cut with the Raiders out of training camp.

ESPN is reporting that quarterback Peyton Manning has agreed to sign a 5-year $95 Million contract with the Denver Broncos. The Denver Broncos defeated the New York Jets 17-13 in Denver Thursday night behind the legs of quarterback Tim Tebow. Tebow ran in the game-winning 20-yard touchdown with :58 left in the game. Tebow finished with 104 yards passing and ran for another 68 yards.
