It's been a long and emotional day for the family and friends of fallen Peace Officer Tom Decker. He was laid to rest this afternoon, after a service this morning at St. John's Abbey and University Church.
An estimated 3,200 people were at St. John's Abbey Church in Collegeville Wednesday to pay their respects to slain Cold Spring Police Officer Tom Decker. Many of those in attendance were police officers from all across America.
In honor of Officer Tom Decker, Governor Mark Dayton has ordered all U.S. and Minnesota flags to be flown at half-staff at all state and federal buildings from sunrise until sunset tomorrow (Wednesday).
Members of the Patriot Guard, each holding an American Flag, lined the sidewalk leading up to the St. Boniface Catholic Church in Cold Spring. The visitation for fallen officer Tom Decker began at 4:00 p.m.
