Cathedral Chooses Meyer as New Boys Basketball Coach
Cathedral Activities Director Emmett Keenan announced Wednesday that Matt Meyer has been chosen as the new head boys basketball coach at Cathedral. Meyer has been working within the program for the past 12 years and is a 1999 Cathedral graduate. He was most recently a top assistant to Nate Miller.

Cathedral is searching for a new boys basketball head coach. Cathedral activities director Emmett Keenan confirmed that Nate Miller left Cathedral to become the head boys basketball coach at Holdingford High School. The Crusaders were 24-6 in 2011-2012.

The Cathedral boys basketball team lost 73-65 to #8 Watertown-Mayer in the section 5AA final at St. Cloud State's Halenbeck Hall Friday night. Cathedral's season ends with a record of 24-6. Watertown-Mayer will play next Wednesday night in the Class AA state quarterfinals.

The Cathedral boys basketball team defeated Annandale 52-50 in the section 5AA sub-section finals at Dassel-Cokato High School Tuesday night. Cathedral improves to 24-5 and will play 8th ranked Watertown-Mayer at 8pm at St. Cloud State Friday night.

The Cathedral boys basketball team won their first round game in section 5AA 71-34 over Spectrum Thursday night at Cathedral. The Crusaders improve to 22-5 and will play Rockford at Howard Lake-Waverly-Winsted Saturday night at 6pm in the sub-section quarterfinals.
