Benton County Commissioners voted today (Tuesday) to freeze their own salaries, and also give the four other elected officials a raise. Commissioners will be paid just over $27,000 in 2013, with a perdiem of $55 per meeting.
Benton County is switching it's telephone service provider, and that may affect some phone calls this week. The county's government center, courts facility and highway department are switching phone service tomorrow (Tuesday).
The issue over what to do about Foley's policing needs is on a couple of agendas tomorrow (Tuesday). Interim City Administrator Sarah Brunn says the city council will be discussing what options are still available to them. The Board of Commissioners meet tomorrow morning, and are expected to consider a request from the city for a face-to-face meeting sometime later this month.
