The Twins loaded the bases in the 9th inning with 1 out but failed to scored and lose their 10th straight game 5-4 to Seattle Tuesday night at Target Field. The Twins have lost 15 of their last 16. Adam Kennedy broke the 4-all tie with a RBI infield single in the 7th inning for the Mariners.

The Twins downed the New York Yankees 9-4 Saturday night. Minnesota scored 2 first inning runs and added 5 more runs in the 2nd inning. A.J. Burnett allowed 5 hits, 3 walks and 7 earned runs in 1 2/3 innings to take the loss. Jason Kubel went 3-5 with 2 RBIs, Ben Revere was 2-5 with 2 RBIs and both Joe Mauer and Trevor Plouffe had 2 hits and 2 runs scored.

The Twins host the Texas Rangers tonight beginning a 4-game series and 10-game homestand at 7:10 tonight, pregame on WJON at 6:40. Righthander Nick Blackburn (5-4) gets the start on the mound for the Twins and lefthander Derek Holland (5-1) toes the rubber for the Rangers.

The Twins won the rubber game of the 3-game series at Cleveland 3-2 in 10 innings Wednesday afternoon. Minnesota got 3 hits and 2 RBIs from rookie centerfielder Ben Revere. Revere drove in Drew Butera with the go-ahead run in the 10th inning after Matt Capps blew a save in the 9th inning.
