Convicted auto mogul Denny Hecker and his girlfriend have gotten married, but the county attorney's office is investigating whether the marriage is legit. Hecker's daughter Kelly says the family's pastor conducted a ceremony Feb. 22, with Hecker on the telephone from his cell at Sherburne County Jail and girlfriend Christi Rowan at a Maple Grove church.

The girlfriend of convicted auto mogul Dennis Hecker has waived her detention hearing and will remain behind bars. Christi Rowan will stay in the Sherburne County jailed until she's sentenced next week. Rowan's detention hearing was scheduled Wednesday in federal court.

Hecker Attorney Recommends 8-Year Prison Sentence

The attorney for former Twin Cities auto magnate Denny Hecker is asking that Hecker serve no more than eight years in prison. Hecker is scheduled to be sentenced in federal court in Minneapolis on Feb. 11. He pleaded guilty last September to conspiracy and bankruptcy fraud. Prosecutors want Hecker sentenced to the maximum 10 years in prison.
