A fugitive accused in Pope County of kidnapping and beating his ex-girlfriend has been arrested in Anoka County. Pope County Sheriff Timothy Riley said Wednesday authorities arrested the 39-year-old man after he was spotted in a car in Anoka County Tuesday evening.

A 26-year-old Iowa man has been arrested for allegedly assaulting the mother of his child, and threatening several other people. St. Cloud Police say the incident happened just before 6:30 p.m. last (Tuesday) night in the 500 block of 15th Avenue Southeast.

2nd Defendant in Brainerd Racial Assault Sentenced

The final defendant in a racially motivated beating in Brainerd has been sentenced to more than five years in prison. 30-year-old Travis Arnold Campbell, of Pequot Lakes, appeared in shackles before Crow Wing County District Judge Richard Zimmerman on Thursday.
