April Weather Recap: Lots of Snow and Cold

With two feet of snow in April, we broke the record for snowfall for the month. The St. Cloud State University weather summary says we officially received 24.4 inches of snow at the St. Cloud Regional Airport, that's the highest April snowfall since records began in 1904.

April Weather Warmer, Wetter than Normal

It might not have felt like it, but temperatures in April were actually warmer than average. The weather summary from St. Cloud State University says our average temperature in St. Cloud was 47.7 degrees -- about three degrees above normal.

St. Cloud State University's April weather summary has some surprising statistics in it. It seemed by all accounts that April was colder and wetter than normal. But, in fact, its was nearly normal in both temperature and snowfall.
