Thousands of amateur baseball fans will be in town over the next few weeks. The Municipal Athletic Complex is hosting the Class B and C State Amateur Baseball Tournaments.
The Sartell Muskies downed Clear Lake 11-0 in 7 innings Sunday to capture the Region 1C championship. Brian Schellinger went 2-4 with 2 RBIs for Sartell. Clear Lake defeated Mora 7-6 in 10 innings earlier in the day. Brett Stinogel had a solo homerun in the 10th inning to lift Clear Lake.
The Cold Spring Springers have advanced to the Super Regionals by guaranteeing no worse than a 2nd place finish in the Region 7B playoffs. The Springers defeated the Marshall A's 9-2 Sunday. Ryan Morse was the complete-game winner on the mound for the Springers. Cold Spring is 31-10.

The Class C State Amateur Baseball tournament begins tonight in Browton and Glencoe. The Ultimate Snappers will play St. Patrick in Browton at 5pm tonight in the first round game. Freeport will play at 7:30 in Brownton tonight against the Prior Lake Mudcats in the first round.
