The Detroit Tigers downed the New York Yankees 2-1 Monday night in game 3 of the American League Championship Series. Justin Verlander threw 8 1/3 innings with 3 hits and 1 earned run allowed to get the win. Former Twin, Delmon Young hit a solo homerun and Miguel Cabrera was 1-3 with 1 RBI for the Tigers.
