The Timberwolves have come to a agreement to unrestricted free agent shooting guard Brandon Roy on a 2-year $10 Million contract.  Roy is coming out of retirement at age 27 after retiring with chronic knee problems.  He received some treatment oversees and is attempting a comeback.  Roy is a 6'6 211 shooting guard who averaged 19 points and 4 rebounds a game throughout his career.

Roy chose Minnesota over Chicago, Golden State, Dallas, Cleveland and Indiana.

The Wolves signed 6'8 small forward Nicolas Batum to a 4-year $45 Million offer sheet.  Batum is from France and has played 4 years in the NBA for Portland.  He averaged 13.9 points per game in 2011-2012.  Portland has until July 14 to match the offer from the Wolves and they are expected to.
