Sylvia LaVigne, 67, Foley

June 4, 1947 - March 19, 2015

Sylvia LaVigne, age 67, of Foley, died Thursday, March 19, 2015 at the Foley Nursing Center surrounded by her family after a 20 year battle with Multiple Sclerosis. Memorial Mass will be 10:30 AM Monday, March 23, 2015 at St. John's Catholic Church, Foley. Father Daniel Walz will officiate. Private family burial will be in the Parish Cemetery.

Friends may call from 4pm to 8pm Sunday, March 22, 2015 at the Foley Funeral Home in Foley, and one hour prior to the service at the church on Monday. Parish Prayers will be 5 PM Sunday evening at the funeral home. Service with Dignity provided by the Foley Funeral Home.

Sylvia LaVigne was born June 4, 1947 in Roseville, Minnesota to Al and Dorothy (Hokanson) Bussen. She married Ron LaVigne on October 28, 1968 at St. Jerome's Catholic Church, Maplewood, MN. She graduated from Alexander Ramsey High School and worked for the Benton County Highway Department for 40 years. Sylvia enjoyed fishing, camping, bowling and playing cards. She especially enjoyed going on summer vacations at the lake to spend time with her husband, children, grandchildren and extended family. She was a member of St. John's Catholic Church.

She is survived by her husband, Ron, Foley; daughter and son; April (Jason) Clark, Sartell, MN; Cory (Tracy), Farmington, MN, 5 grandchildren; Kenzie, Keegan, Caysie, Trevor and Connor and brothers; Tom, Mike, Mark, Patrick and Kevin. She was preceded in death by her parents, brother, Stuart and sister, Margie Thompson.
