Switchblade Used In Assault

Matthew Umbreit was found to be in possession of a switchblade-style knife which matched a description given by the victim. Officers learned that Umbreit held the knife to the victim’s throat and threatened to cut him. Umbreit is being held in the Stearns County Jail on charges of second degree assault and possession of a dangerous weapon.
