ST. CLOUD -- Police are looking for a burglar who broke into a southeast St. Cloud residence early this (Monday) morning and fought with a tenant before fleeing.

Officers responded to a burglary in progress in the 1500 block of 12th Avenue Southeast just before 5:30 a.m.

A man who had recently lived at the address allegedly entered through an open window when he was confronted by a man and woman inside. Police say the burglar pulled a knife and a struggle ensued. During that struggle the woman suffered a minor cut. The suspect then took some property and fled.

Officers set up a perimeter and used police dogs to search the area. Police were unable to find the burglar, but the investigation continues.
