ROSEVILLE, Minn. (AP) - A St. Paul man who allegedly assaulted his girlfriend in a Roseville hotel room and became the subject of a manhunt when he fled has surrendered.

Roseville police say the 20-year-old turned himself in to the St. Paul Police Department around 11:30 p.m. Friday.

Authorities say the man assaulted his 19-year-old girlfriend at the Residence Inn Hotel in Roseville late Friday morning, brandished a gun in front of others and fled.

Employees at the nearby Symantec software company said he might have entered their building. One employee told police the suspect borrowed his phone. A SWAT team searched the two-story building for three hours but didn't find him.

The Roseville Police Department will present the case to the Ramsey County attorney's office early next week for a decision on charges.
