GRANITE FALLS (AP) - The former boyfriend of a Granite Falls woman who was fatally shot along with another man has been arrested.

The Minnesota Department of Public Safety says Andrew Dikken was taken into custody Tuesday afternoon at the Renville County Sheriff's Department in Olivia. Dikken was being sought in the shooting deaths of 26-year-old Kara Monson and her 28-year-old boyfriend, Chris Panitzke, of Redwood Falls.

Dikken had been missing since the two were shot Sept. 2 at Monson's home.

Authorities say Dikken's family members had been cooperating with authorities and brought him to the sheriff's office Tuesday.

Dikken has been taken to the Yellow Medicine County Jail in Granite Falls, pending an arraignment.

Granite Falls police are continuing their investigation into the deaths.
